I have been writing poetry since I was a child, but only started to take it seriously in my late teens. Even then, it took another decade before I considered the possibility of publishing and sharing my work in a broad way. 
Once I made the choice, it seemed like things just fell into place. I am so grateful for all of the people and resources that have supported me to keep creating.
